Dr Olubiyi is 63-year-old Nigerian, who currently works with Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos as a Chief Lecturer. He joined the College in 1991 and rose through the rank progressively.

He had his early fisheries training from the College in 1985, then progressed to River State University of Science and Technology, Portharcourt, in 1998, Federal University of Technology Akure in 2004 and Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea in 2014 where he obtained his PhD in Fisheries Science. 

He has managed three private farms in Oyo and Osun state before joining the College as a lecturer. Besides his lecturing activities, he currently manages the College fish farm at Igbo Olomi, near Dangote refinery, Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos State. He invested personally in the fish cage culture at Ebute Afuye, Epe, where he raises Tilapia, Pangasius, and Brama species.
